From Jan 2026 – Present

Partnership for Equitable Forestry Governance: With the financial support of Global Focus, CICED Denmark and ASK-Nepal are collaborating to address power imbalances in community forestry, working with six CFUGs in Kavrepalanchok and Syangja. The initiative explores exclusion, internal hierarchies, and benefit sharing to inform learning, dialogue, and practical tools for more inclusive and transparent governance. Bringing together strengths in social accountability, community engagement, and participatory learning, the partnership fosters innovation, capacity building, and more equitable natural resource management.

VOLUNTARY DEVELOPMENT AID TO VILLAGE (VDAV)

From 2010 – Present

ASK-Nepal’s Development Aid program, in partnership with Trianglen, provides cash grants to rural Nepali communities for local development projects. The program has grown from 14 to 41 villages, providing over 12 million Nepali rupees in grants for microfinance, building construction, skill training, and more.

Promotion of School organic farming through students-organic school garden (PSOS)

From 2022 – Present

Decades ago, farming was chemical-free and produced diverse, healthy food. Today, heavy use of fertilizers and pesticides harms soil, health, and biodiversity. Organic farming—based on natural methods, integration, and recycling—restores soil and sustainability. School organic gardens help students learn, promote healthier food habits, and inspire communities to shift toward chemical-free agriculture.

Kavre Integrated village empowerment program [KIVEP]

From 2022 – Present

The main problem is that the individual families, who live by farming, are in a situation where the current production system does not give the optimum level of production for livelihood. Next, the problem is that the land is gradually depleted by practice of monocultures, combined with growing use of industrially produced highly soluble fertilizers.

Promotion of climate change adaptation [pOCCA]

From 2017 – Present

Climate change impacts are having negative effects on individuals, households and communities, especially among the poorest and most marginalized groups. In Nepal, a large number of community driven initiatives are changing lives, helping people and capacitating communities to face and adapt climate change risks.

Temporary Basic Income -Sambodhan [tbi]

From 2022 – Present

We all know that the economic disruptions brought about by COVID-19 are projected to continue for a prolonged period. After more than 10 months of pandemic-induced lockdown in 2020, and continued in 2021, these projections are alarming for the most vulnerable segments of the population in Nepal for whom the severity of the economic and health emergency continues to exacerbate daily.
